Rodney Nettles

A San Diego native from east county, Rodney moved to Hillcrest in 2008 and has been a member of the community ever since. A businessman at heart, Rodney has worked in the beauty industry, health and wellness and been a business consultant for content creators. Winning and reviving the title of Mr. San Diego Cub in 2020 was Rodney’s first step into the title holder world but not the first in leather. Rodney was introduced to leather in 2009, has served as a boy, hucow, pup and is now Sir to several bdsm folk and kinksters. “Community first and me second” is Rodney’s most forward motto. During the pandemic Rodney raised money through streaming on GROWLr, Twitch and TikTok and donated funds to community members in need. Now, currently in holding the title of San Diego’s first Non-Binary leather person, MX. AFCLG, Rodney devotes their time to community events and being a voice for the black, trans/non-binary and queer folk. Rodney has inspired several others to become title holders and even more people to give leather/kink a chance.
